1. General information
History of Aragon is conceived as a means of learning based on the acquisition of skills, critical spirit and historical awareness. It facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and critical understanding of the historiography related to the History of Aragon.
Specific objectives:
- Relate historical processes to the present, thinking critically about past social realities in relation to the present
-Develop sensitivity to the past, the sources for its knowledge and the historical-cultural heritage.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations (2030 Agenda (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/).

2. Learning results
In order to pass this subject, students must demonstrate the following learning results:
Identifies and describes the main historical facts, processes and factors, and establishes coherent relationships between the political, cultural, social and economic levels of a society
Is able to relate past historical processes to the present and to think critically about the social realities of the present and the past.
Critically reads historiographical documents, develops and manages techniques and methods of study, and is able to recognize the process of investigation of historical phenomena
Demonstrates knowledge and historical analysis through oral and/or written argumentation, demonstrating critical analysis, synthesis and intellectual creativity.

Learning process: complementarity between theoretical and practical sessions.
Time distribution:
- Theoretical sessions: concepts, commentary on documentation and discussions.
- Practical sessions: readings and critical reflections.
Preparation of practical activities, based on models proposed by the teacher.
Learning activities:
- Theoretical classes, face-to-face: 25%. Teaching-learning methodology: lectures, theoretical presentations, debates, various presentations.
- Readings and personal work: 55%. Methodology: readings, summaries, presentations and evaluation tests.
-Practices: 10%. Methodology: commentary on research instruments and sources
- Tutoring: 7%. Methodology: student follow-up, problem solving, formative evaluation
Assessment 3%.
5. Assessment system
First call:
a) Continuous: it will be the teacher's authority to apply the continuous assessment.
Tests:
- Theoretical (50% grade): questions related to the syllabus. Criteria: writing and argumentation.
- Practical (30%): activity oriented, especially, to work with historical sources and bibliography. Assessment criteria: appropriate use of materials, writing of ideas and hypotheses
- Active participation and autonomous work (20%): reflection work at the initiative of the students and agreed with the teachers.
Criteria: ability to ask questions, formulate hypotheses and draw conclusions.
The final result will be the arithmetic mean of the grades obtained in Medieval, Modern and Contemporary.
b) Global: single test. Students will demonstrate an adequate level of proficiency in the learning results of the subject. The activities included in this test will correspond to those proposed in the continuous assessment method. This test offers the student the possibility to achieve 100% of the final grade. Criteria: as shown in the "Continuous Assessment".
